Italian Country Cottage in stunning surroundings with secluded private pool
A lovingly restored cottage set in the beautiful and tranquil Majella National Park of Abruzzo, Italy. The cottage is surrounded by olive groves, cherry orchards and vineyards with incredible views of the Gran Sasso and Maiella mountains. Situated just 35-40 minutes from the closest airport and the beautiful Adriatic beaches, the only sounds are the gentle bells in the distance of the shepherd taking his sheep to pastures new!
The cottage benifits from it's own secluded garden, decked terrace with a dining area, BBQ and private pool complete with sunloungers. A perfect setting to enjoy a glass of local Italian wine whilst marvelling at the stunning sunsets over the majestic mountains in Abruzzo. There is ample parking adjacent to the cottage right outside the front door and we would recommend that you hire a car. The main house is just close by and we are always available to offer advice and information to help make your stay a more pleasurable experience.
Inside there is large open plan living room / bedroom with wood burner, a fully equipped modern kitchen and bathroom. There is a TV with DVD player, free Wi-Fi and sofa bed. A cot and/or high chair for young children can be made available on request and all linen and bedding is included. On arrival we will welcome you personally to show you around the cottage and provide a hamper to get you started. You will also find a helpful welcome pack with information about the local attractions and beautiful places to visit, local restaurants and shops.

The local village of Villa San Romualdo is just a short walk away or a 2 minute drive which boasts a large well stocked supermarket. local butcher, florist, gift shop and friendly bar. There are many restaurants close by where you can enjoy local Italian cuisine, amazing wines and local ambience.
Abruzzo is one of the relatively undiscovered regions of Italy which is why the food and wine are inexpensive and the landscape completely unspoilt. This beautiful area has alot to offer with many interesting places to visit nearby including the historic medieval towns of Atri, Città Sant'Angelo with large modern shopping mall, the medieval City of Penne (the City of Art) and numerous activities such as visiting caves, winery tours and museums only a short distance away.
The blue flag beach of Pineto is just a 20 minute drive away. Pineto offers many shops, cafes and excellent restaurants where you can spend the morning on the beach and perhaps have a late lunch in one of the seafront restaurants?
There is also a regular train service that runs along the Adriatic cost linking Pescara to numerous beautiful coastal towns and the eternal city of Rome is just a 2 hour drive away. Alternatively, a comfortable coach can be booked from Pescara or Penne for just €20 return.Rooms
