Welcome at the Cour de J'anne in Schiltigheim. A getaway in Strasbourg, capital of Europe where Anne and Jean will be happy de welcome you in their property La Cour de J'Anne , converted barns in the grounds of an 18th century farmhouse built in  the  traditional Alsatian style, in the heart of the old Schiltigheim,

We will be pleased to  welcome 2 people in this   little cottage (self-catering) of 30m² with free Wifi access.  We provide towels, sheets and quilts. You will also find a parking space for your car or bikes, included in the price.The accommodation comprises a  fully fitted kitchen/diner and one bedroom.  (washing machine in external utility room).

  • At the Ground floor    you will find  a fully equipped kitchen diner with dishwasher, micro wave oven and all the little things to make you comfortable and  independent. Outside there is a lovely patio in the shade (18m²)
  • At the first floor   You find a bedroom with a double bed and cable TV with DVD and Usb, a bathroom with washbasin and power shower, and from the room you get to a large private terrace (20m²) with deckchairs and umbrellas.  

15 minutes from the centre of Strasbourg, one of the most cultured cities of the continent where France merges into Germany on the Rhine river.

With the TGV-EST between Paris and Strasbourg - 303 miles in less then 2hrs . it's only 5hrs and 40mins from London St Pancras

In 1988 UNESCO gave World Heritage status to the Grande  Ile. It is the medieval quarter with the 15th century cathedral is tremendous, its astronomic clock is a miracle of medieval technology. Strasbourg, a French city with a big Germanic influence. The location is ideal for both the city and the countryside

The European Parliament buildings are within walking distance. Strasbourg sets a high eco-example to the MEPs who flood in, to sit in the European Parliament four days the month and there are many other international bodies based in the 'capital of Europe'.

With 248 miles of bike-friendly routes ,It claims to be France's most " cyclable city". Most European cities have a good tram service but Strasbourg 's is on of the best-looking, an excellent way to take in the architectural highpoints. 

The Strasbourg Pass for 3 days includes free half-day bike hire. You can spin out, for example, to the  Park de l' Orangerie, a beautiful park opposite the Council of Europe, the card also gives you a free boat trip, entry to observation level of the cathedral and one of the museums.

The nearest airport is Strasbourg International Airport, 20 km from the property but you can also land in Baden-Airpark 60km from the property or Euro airport Basel Mulhouse 130km , The central Station is 10 minutes away and with the TGV-EST between Paris and Strasbourg - 303 miles in less then 2hours. It’s less then 6hrs from London Saint Pancras. It only takes you a few minutes to get to all the facilities like supermarkets (organic food too,) butcher's, baker's, post office , banks, doctors and pharmacy and the Thursday's market at the town hall square. You can get to Strasbourg centre in 10 minutes by bus n° 4 or by the tramway B Strasbourg can be visited by bike, by foot, on a tour boat cruising on the river Ill or using the tram Most people love to visit the medieval streets of the old town (Unesco classified) , the European Institutions , the gardens and squares , the museums and markets and the famous Christmas market.
