About 7 km away from Vézelay, in the heart of Burgundy, France, lies the village of Montillot. In these green and peaceful surroundings we warmly welcome you to our guest house!
We are Belgians and the proud owners of a house that is part of Vézelay’s historical heritage. Renovations were therefore carried out under the strictest conditions. According to legend, it once belonged to the Templars who used it as a meeting place.
Particular detail: behind our house lies the pilgrim’s road to Santiago de Compostela. From here on, you can walk part of this route straight to Vézelay!
We have three cosy and comfortable guest rooms. We will gladly help you explore the region so you can fully enjoy this historic place with its world-famous basilica, excellent wines and unspoiled nature.
The interior design of each room is focused on the colour of one of these crystals: rose quartz, amethyst and celestite. The double room on the ground floor is suitable for guests who have difficulties climbing stairs.
Every morning an extensive breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor. You are cordially invited to sit down at the table with the other guests to enjoy a combination of Belgian delicacies and local specialities. If you are on a diet or have any specific wishes concerning breakfast, please let us know when making your reservation. We will take your requests into account as much as possible.
The beds can be separated or joined to a double bed at your request. Each room has a private bathroom with toilet and shower with anti-allergic shower gel / shampoo. A hairdryer is also provided.
We have purposely opted for rooms without a TV as we want to guarantee the peace and quiet of our guests. Free Wi-Fi access is available.
Amethyst room: This double room is located on the first floor and has a private bathroom, just opposite the room. The bathroom has a washbasin, toilet and walk-in shower. Bathrobes are provided.
Rose quartz room: This room is located on the first floor and offers accommodation to a maximum of 3 persons. Two beds can be joined to a double bed, if desired. The bathroom has a toilet, washbasin and walk-in shower.
Celestite room: This double room is located on the ground floor and has a private bathroom with washbasin, toilet and walk-in shower. There is no need to climb stairs.Welcome to our guest house! We hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we do.
