Property History

The Alojamento Local building has its main facade, of great historical and architectural interest, mainly due to its different appearance from the surrounding buildings, at numbers 10, 12 and 14 of Rua Nova, one of the most traditional and central streets in the downtown area of Odeceixe.

The façade (main elevation), which in addition to being the building's trademark, has aesthetic value and is a reference in the parish and municipality of Aljezur, is classified as a Monument of Municipal Interest.

Wealthy house from the 17th century. 20, spread over two floors, with the main façade covered in emerald-green tiles, with square ashlars arranged in an isodomo device; three panels defined by stonework pilasters, the sides torn by a door with stone frames and the central one by a door flanked by two windows, with identical frames, faceted sills and wooden and glass window frames; the main entrance is made on the left panel, marked by the different treatment of the shutters that display some decorative notes, albeit sober, of neoclassical typology; in the main register, in the side panels, an axial window and in the main one, two identical windows flanking the axial balcony with a lobed balcony; topped with a ballast on the side panels and on the central one with an indented pediment crowned by an urn.
