The space
Quinta da Marmela offers eight charming bedrooms with large and comfortable beds, heating, air conditioning and private bathrooms decorated with locally hand-painted tiles. Most rooms have a private terrace with magnificent views on the tree-covered landscape.The house is located in a 27 hectares property. The swimming pool is lodged in greenery with a view on the hills. There are three large terraces for outdoor living and dining, a barbecue, a petanque ground and a ping pong table.
The Quinta has a large living room with a fireplace, a dining room and a kitchen with an American fridge. Wifi is available.
Access
The Quinta is conveniently located one hour North of Lisbon by car on the A1 highway. The Entroncamento train station is 10km away, with regular IC trains from Lisbon (50 minutes). Taxi services can easily be organised upon request.Restaurants & shops
While hidden in the hills, the house is just 2km away from the small medieval town of Torres Novas, with its supermarkets, bars and restaurants to make your stay as convenient and fun as possible.
The region
The Quinta is 10 km from Golegã, the capital of the Lusitano horse and its famous horse fair in November. It is at the heart of Ribatejo’s rich historical patrimony, notably with the UNESCO world heritage sites of Tomar (19km), Batalha (50km) and Alcobaça (65km). The famous waves of Nazaré (70km) and quieter sandy beaches are 1 hour away.
Activities
