Set in Cobh, Ireland.

This property is in a rural location a car is essential as there is no public transport in this area.

Cobh town, the last port of call of the Titanic and the Cathedral of St. Colman is 4.3 km from the apartment, along with Cobh Heritage Centre and Spike Island, a UNESCO world heritage site.

We are situated in the countryside on a working arable farm, 3 miles from Cobh Town, 15 miles from Cork City. 1 cat, and 2 dogs also live and roam freely around here. It is a lovely quite, peaceful place with only the sounds of nature around. We have the most fantastic views over the east side of Cork Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world. From our house you can view the 100 massive cruise ships as they make their way in the harbour towards Cobh for their deep water berth. Cork’s Spike Island has been voted Europe’s leading tourist attraction for 2017, this can be accessed from Cobh town. Cove as in the 'Cove of Cork' was the original name for Cobh but this changed to Queenstown in 1849 after a visit by Queen Victoria. After the foundation of the Irish Free State in 1922, the town reverted back to the current name of Cobh. In the town square of Cobh, there is a memorial to the victims of The Lusitania, many of whom are buried in the local cemetery. The ship was sunk off Kinsale by a German submarine in 1915. Another unhappy association is with the Titanic, 'the safest liner in the world'. Visit the original booking office and the hartbreak pier.
