About Us
Intaba lodge is situated between Carolina and Machadadorp in the picturesque Mpumalanga Province in the Doornkop Wildlife and Fish Resort.Doornkop, which is set in the heart of the Komati Valley, is a private reserve with rolling hills and grassland savannahs. Both the Komati River and the Swart Spruit wind their way through the reserve. The resort offers fly fishing in numerous well-stocked dams and in the two rivers.
Doornkop is fully game-fenced and is currently stocked with many species of large mammals, such as Zebra, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck. Smaller game such as Duiker, Jackal and Warthogs are regular visitors. Because of its position on the edge of the Low and Highveld, it is home to well over 200 species of bird. The call of the Fish Eagle is a common occurrence. Game viewing can be enjoyed on foot, on mountain bike, on horseback or on 4x4 vehicles. Numerous hiking trails are available. There are two waterfalls which form part of the hiking trails and the Ruins of the ”People of the Sun”, believed to be 2 000 years old, is definitely worth a visit.

The Property is ideally situated for halfway stop between ORT and the Kruger National Park.
At Intaba Lodge, six luxurious, spacious en-suit bedrooms await you. It is an African experience in comfort, style and luxury. Here you will experience serene African sunrises and sunsets from your private patio, and at night, the stars fill the sky.
There is a sense of unsurpassed peace and tranquility.
Intaba Lodge is situated on the slopes of Doornkop offering magnificent views of the rivers and the valleys.
The lodge consists of the main house and adjacent chalet. The lodge has fully equipped kitchen with a microwave oven as well as a dishwasher.
The main house consists of 4 bedrooms with en-suit bathrooms. Three bedrooms have king-size beds and one bedroom has 2 single beds, all offering beautiful views. The main bedrooms also have fire places - a cozy companion for those cold winter nights.
The lodge has a huge open plan lounge with open fire places, dining room area and games room with a pool table. A spacious covered patio with a gas barbeque invites you outside, where zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, warthog’s etc. idly pass by.
The adjacent chalet consists of two self-catering suits. The first suit has a king-size bed and the other has two single beds, both with en-suit bathrooms. Each unit has its own kitchenette and small lounge with inter-leading doors.
This magnificent lodge sleeps 12 guests and is fully serviced.
The lodge is conveniently situated within walking distance from the clubhouse.
