Djúpidalur is a guesthouse located in Reykhólahrepp and is open all year. We offer a sleeping bag facility. In the house there are 3x two person bedroom and 1x person bedroom with a shared bathroom an kitchen and also a living room, by the house is terrace with an outside grill.
We also have a detached house with 1x two person room and kitchen, bathroom. The same house has a inside swimming pool with showers and changing room, there is also a hot tub outside. Every guest is welcome to use the swimmingpool and hot-tub, but there are no pets allowed.
Djúpidalur is farm with 420 sheeps and dog and has a really nice hiking trails and beautiful landscape.
Vaðalfjöll are located about 26 km from Djupadal Guesthouse. The mountains above Bjarkalundur, and Bjartmarssteinn are beautiful and special rock formations that you can't find in many other places. People in Reykhólar believe that Bjartmarssteinn has something to do with elves, also referred to as the hidden people, and stories say that it is their trading post in Breiðafjörður.
