Le Péré provides peaceful holidays for people who want to get away from the crowd. It is a traditional French farmhouse with three gîtes to the rear of the property.

The property itself comprises 11 acres of land in which guests are free to roam, including a lake where fishing is available on request. There is also a nine hole pitch and putt golf course available for guests to use. Situated in the Vendée region of France, the idyllic setting is only a short drive from the nearest village.

A bread van delivers bread several times a week and there is also a hotel in the small village of Faymoreau Centre-Minier, where guests can find a bar and a restaurant. The surrounding area is excellent for cycling or walking and on the property itself there is a large swimming pool for the guests to share.

Temperatures in this region of France rise to well over 100 degrees in the height of summer and compare favourably with the South of France.

The swimming pool is situated beyond the patio and is shared by all guests. In keeping with new French laws, there is a wall surrounding the pool and a double latched gate so young children cannot enter by themselves.

Each gîte has its own patio with furniture for outdoor dining. The shared pool is ideal for cooling down in the high temperatures common here in the middle of Summer, or maybe for just sunbathing around the side.

There is a laundry room near the clothes lines with free use of a washing machine, and a sink for any hand washing.

Gîte le Saule sleeps five people comfortably in two bedrooms.

THE ACCOMMODATION COMPRISES:

• The master bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe. It also has an en-suite toilet and a window overlooking the patio with a view of the lake.
• The second bedroom has bunk beds, the bottom bunk being a double. It has a chest of drawers and a window overlooking the patio, also with lake views. 
• The main living area has a 3 piece suite, play station and several games, a television with a selection of English channels and a small coffee table. This adjoins the dining area, with seating for 5 . At one side is thekitchen, with modern units, an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, coffee machine, toaster and microwave. French doors lead out onto the patio where there is a table and chairs for dining outdoors and a barbecue.
