A Maréis a family owned guest house offering traditional Algarve bed and breakfast accommodation and self-catering apartments. We are situated right in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Salema, enjoying spectacular views over the white sandy beach to the ocean beyond.
APARTMENT C is located on the middle floor of A Maré (2nd floor) and benefits from a peaceful enclosed terrace area from which you can glimpse a special view of the ocean and also the garden. The terrace, which can be accessed directly from both the bedroom and the lounge, faces south east so that it benefits from morning sunshine through to early afternoon. Sun loungers and a dining table are provided on the terrace for your enjoyment and there's nothing better than enjoying breakfast alfresco style. The apartment comprises a double bedroom with A/C, separate bathroom with shower cubicle, living room with t.v. and A/C and a fully equipped kitchen. The occupancy of Apartment C is for 4 people maximum since it has a double sofa bed in the living area which can accommodate 1 or 2 people more. This apartment is let on a self-catering basis. Free Wi-Fi is included during your stay and the t.v. has international channels.

Set in Salema/Algarve.
Salema is located in the Western Algarve, surrounded by Natural Park and sits directly on a coveted Blue Flag award winning beach at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of very few communities that still launch their brightly coloured fishing boats from the beach to catch the local sea bass, bream, sardines and octopus that are then sold to the local market.
The beach is very gently sloping which makes it ideal for swimming and safe for children. It is a fantastic setting for an early morning stroll before breakfast. A lifeguard service is provided at designated areas of the beach in the summer months.
There are a dozen bar / restaurants in Salema, two mini markets to purchase your provisions and one public ATM - that charges no fees - just next to The Way Tours shop, for your banking needs. Salema also has an activity outlet located directly off the beach from where you can hire kayaks and paddle boards, organise boat trips, arrange a game of golf at the local course, horse riding trails and walking tours, as well as hire a private charter or have fun on inflatables. Tickets for the mains water and fun parks can also be purchased there.
There are also many sightseeing opportunities and places to visit around Salema. Days away from the beach can be had with the walled marina town of Lagos that lies to the east; and the historic town of Sagres with its fortress that lies to the west, both of which are only a 10 to 15-minute drive away and are on the local bus route which stops directly in front of The Maré.
