You find us after a small detour since google maps makes you go around a little. We welcome you and let you get settled to this cozy and beautiful, old but renovated cottage. Then we offer you welcome coffee and tea and tell you about the interesting places to visit and lovely sights to see.

The cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Rovaniemi.
It was build right after the last war in Finland for the refugees coming to Rovaniemi from Petsamo.
The frame of the cottage is originally from am agricultural building that was used to dry up crop such as wheat and barley. Drying was done with having a fire inside the building and the smoke blackened the walls, because there wasn´t a chimney. Because the smoke was supposed to stay in.
Of course renovations have been made, but the frame of the cottage is the original and you can see in the bigger room the darkened timbers.
The history of the building is old and it has seen a lot, but the atmosphere is calm and most of our guests for example sleep exceptionally well while staying in the cottage.

You can use the whole cottage, it is booked for one group at a time.

Children can use the swings and sandbox on the yard along with the toys. You can also enjoy some berries from the bushes, when it is berry season and light a fire and roast sausages in the fire pit on the yard if you like.

There is quite a lot of animals such as hare´s, squirrels, birds and occasionally random reindeer also on our yard. The reindeer are quite rare on this side of the town, but if they would happen to come, you should not approach them. Squirrels and hares you can follow and approach as much as you like.

There is a sauna in the main house, which you can order separately. Price for the sauna is 10€/person/1hour. Sauna includes home made juice serving after it.
